Danells Off-Road Steering Bars:
Our steering bars are machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminium with a 1.5" (38mm) diameter. Engineered to withstand extreme off-road conditions, they stand apart from many heavy-duty steering bars on the market, which are typically made from hollow steel with a 30mm outer diameter.
Our steering bars feature spanner flats for easy adjustment. They have a left-hand thread marked by an identification groove and a right-hand thread to accommodate 3/4" Heim joints, significantly stronger than standard Land Rover track rod ends.
To fit these bars, you will need a Discovery 1 flat-style drop arm on the steering box. The box drop arm and swivel hubs also need to be drilled to 5/8" (M16). This will not fully remove the taper but it is more then enough to support the bolt.
Please note: Our custom steering bars are intended for extreme off-roading; they are not suitable for use on public roads. Drilling out the hubs is a challenging process; therefore, we do not recommend the modification for novice DIYers.
The steering bar set includes the track road and drag link, only.
All bars are pre-greased.
